In Hinduism, there is no greater gift you can give someone, than the gift of knowledge.
Often, underprivileged members of the community force their children to stop attending school because of the expense of school fees. Instead, children as young as six years old are made to work in construction sites, restaurants and other establishments. Young girls are forced into painful lives, which can destroy their future.
A gift of education can help protect these vulnerable young ones and ensure they build the foundations for a successful life. You can be a part of the change that helps make this possible.
Offer underprivileged children a chance to acquire Vidya (education) by donating school/college textbooks, unused notebooks, stationery kits, school dresses, bicycles and more. Your contribution to a child’s education can help make that child’s life and set him or her up for success.
If you would like to sponsor a child’s education for either one year, you can make the payment in either cash or kind. However, if you would like to support a child’s entire schooling, you can do so through an academic scholarship.
The Shri Bhagawan Mahaveer Manavatha Kendra Trust has currently built a school in Rajasthan where children from poor and marginalized communities can attend free of charge. Thanks to the generous contributions of our patrons, we are now able to support 225 children in their education. We have also donated two computers to the school to empower our students to become tech-savvy.
We hope to do the same in Karnataka through the contributions we receive from our patrons.
